This is a basic educational sun-earth-moon system to explain earth movements, moon phases, eclipses, seasons and more.
It's all manual, no automation and very easy to operate.
I originally used a plain blue globe for the earth but later I changed it for a textured earth globe made by bld. Thanks for that piece! https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:17336
It's the same earth file, just resized to fit my system and with the hole to place it on the pole.
Of course the system is not in real scale.
I made one straight earth axis and a tilted one, to exchange it during the explanation and show the difference. You can print both or just one of them. I made also files for half of each axis, to print twice and glue together. It worked better for me.
Straight axis has a more fluid movement, easiest to travel from one side to the other. Tilted axis is a better representation of the system, but it's harder to get the correct moves.
If you find a better way to do it, please make a r
