Sun Wall Art

Wall hanging of a stylized sun. The face is 150mm across. The rays extend the width to 380 mm. Models was printed with a 0.4mm nozzle on a higher temperature plate. Due to the higher temperatures, I did not need glue for the model. Face was printed on an A1 using three colors from an AMS-lite. 10 rays were printed in the same color as the face. It should be possible to print without an AMS and then color the features with felt tips or paint. This model was printed with gold silk PLA for the body and basic red or black PLA, as appropriate, for the facial features. Print time was about 4 hours 15 minutes on an A1 for the base and about 38 minutes average for each ray. The pegs on the rays are a tight fit for the holes, but with some gentle twisting they can be inserted. Each ray should be printed with a support for the peg.
