I use the Ender 3 ball bearing holder from nathansc https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3551666 for my creality printers. It works great and I love the threaded design. I do find the bearings have too little drag sometimes so the spool will free wheel and unroll too much filament.
That being said, I took this great design and hacked it up for use on the Sunlu S8 spool holder which has a 20mm stainless steel tube (19mm ID). I skipped the bearings and just let it spin on the 20mm tube. I was having issues where the spool would start swinging during quick retractions and this has solved that issue.
I also made some tube plugs for the ends of the stainless tube to prevent it from falling out. If you find they are too loose or too tight, just scale the model in your slicer.
I printed everything with .2mm layers, 3 walls, and 20% infill. No supports or brim needed. You will need to rotate a couple parts to be flat on the bed.
