This project presents a Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) flow simulation of a Formula SAE-inspired concept car conducted using SOLIDWORKS Flow Simulation. The analysis focuses on studying airflow characteristics around the vehicle, including velocity distribution, pressure contours, turbulence regions, and overall flow behavior under specific operating conditions. The vehicle model features an aggressive aerodynamic design consisting of a front wing, streamlined side body, wheel fairing integration, and rear aerodynamic elements intended to improve airflow management and reduce drag. CFD analysis was performed to evaluate the aerodynamic performance of the design and identify regions experiencing high pressure, airflow separation, and turbulence around the body geometry. Boundary conditions such as inlet velocity, atmospheric pressure, and flow direction were configured to represent realistic operating environments. The simulation results provide valuable insight into the aerodynamic efficiency and flow stability of the vehicle, making this project suitable for educational purposes, engineering analysis, and conceptual race car development studies.
