Sometimes I need to test if my printed enclosures can actually fit before I officially install them onto my 10-inch rack.So I designed these super simple 4u server rack posts. It works with standard M6 screws and M6 hex nuts.I only added parts from maker's supply for reference. I had never tested them with this design!Just generic M6 server rack screws and M6 hex nuts would be good. To install, simply put nuts into the slots at the back of the each post, and screw in the rack screw from the front. For better thermal performance, PETG or ABS should be used. But for my usage, PLA is good enough for it's duty.I ran a n100 machine with some 2.5-inch SSDs and HDDs 7x24, but it has never bent. Theoretically they can be used for 19-inch equipment as well. But I have never tested them with any 19-inch server.
