Supermicro CPU Fan Adapter

This is a snap fit adapter to get a 60 mm fan to fit on a Supermicro ITX server board that comes with a passive heatsink. My board is a X10SDV-4C-TLN2F, and I've got a Noctua NF-A6x25 fan, but any 60 mm fan should work.

Before making the adapter, I had the standard solution of bending the rubber attachment feet around the heatsink to get it to stay on. It worked, but not well, CPU temps were around 48 °C at idle. After making the adapter to hold the fan right up against the heatsink, idle temps are down around 33 °C.
