Surgical Mask Strap

I drew inspiration from the following page:

The intent of this design is to to hold the elastic straps of a surgical mask, to relieve the pressure of those on the ears.

My mom is a nurse and when I read an article about a Boy Scout firing up his printer, mass producing these straps for his local hospital, I figured "Momma Reyes could use one of those."

I simply printed the design and gave a handful to my mom to pass out at the hospital and they were BIG hit! They had some feedback on the structural design so I tweaked it a bit. I'll likely be redesigning it several times over as I receive more feedback.

Some feedback I received was that it was hard to wear with a bun and that the strap slipped down off one's head. For this reason, I added a comb-like feature to catch in the hair, preventing the strap from sliding down.
