I printed the Universal Modular Car Headrest Phone Mount for my kids to mount their Nintendo Switch in the backseat on long car trips. I wanted them to be able to mount the device and both be able to see the screen so they can play together. The phone clamp was not large enough, and I had to offset the switch in order to access the charging port. I remixed the clamp to be a little longer and have wider clamps with a port for the USB C cable to charge! In addition, the weakest part of the original design was any threads that were printed vertical. I remixed the ball joint and the main clamp body to print on their side so that the threads were stronger (I broke 3 ball joints from the original model when testing this). I printed everything in ASA, so I can't comment on how other materials will hold up in the heat of the car, but there are some new HT filaments out there that may do really well.
