Symbol Cryptex Puzzle - with backup security

This is a cryptex, based on the puzzle box from the Da Vinci Code. It uses symbols instead of letters or numbers, and can be reset to any code using the inner (red) and outer (white) rings before assembling. I recommend using high contrast colors between the inner and outer rings (red/black and white work very well).Each ring has ten symbols. There is a version that will use 6 rings for a code, and a taller version that uses 10 rings, giving you a choice between 1,000,000 and 10,000,000,000 possible codes. There is also a top piece that has a removeable cap, with a locking bar through it. This is in case you want to have a backup “emergency” unlock option. When you remove the cap, you'll be able to see the position of the rings through some holes if you can shine a light down them. It won't be easy, but it is possible to determine the right code that way (if you've somehow lost or forgotten it). Have fun!
