Table Leg Corner Construction

I wanted a design that requires no dados or rabbets, just miter saw cuts and a drill. Important is maximum glue surface and mechanical strength. This design starts by cutting the end of 2x2 pieces twice at 45° on any miter saw. A fixture holds them into position for drilling for dowels. I make Ø 0.75" and Ø 0.375 x 3" long dowels with a dowel cutter. The large dowels are installed first, then the smaller holes intersect the large dowels for extra strength.
