Tactile Button Panel Mount Housing

This housing enables 6mm x 6mm through hole tactile buttons to be panel mounted. The housing is attached to a panel through a single hole and secured with a nut. Most panel mounted buttons I have found are too large or have a soft spongey press. A tactile button produces a satisfying click and are cheap.

This type of button is commonly available cheap on eBay/Amazon. Or a supplier like digikey. An example compatible part# is Omron B3F-6000

There are 2 stem sizes available, for different thickness panels. And 3 sizes of caps that attach to the stem. The latching tabs that retain the button are fairly weak, that aspect could be improved, but it has not caused any problems.
