Tailgate gas spring clamp

One, or maybe both gas prings of my car's tailgate are worn. This is a simple clamp that
slides over the gas spring rod and the knob with thread prevents the tailgate from falling down by its own weight. This is a clip for an 8mm gas spring rod.

Till now I only have to use one clampp, on one gas spring. That's enough to hold the tailgate in it's open position.
