Takeout Box

This Chinese takeout box is an art project made to illustrate the westernization and devaluation of Chinese food in America. The fact that the box is crumpled represents how the quality Chinese food in a western point of view equates to that of fast food, as well as the lack of appreciation and respect for the food that serves as a culturally important icon. The eating utensil, formed by a fork and chopsticks, further demonstrates the dominance of westernization and cultural imperialism.
After printing the box, make sure to use a metal wire to create handles for it, threading the wires through the holes one the sides and bending them to prevent them from falling off.
