This is an experiment on adding suspensions to a tank. The motors are mounted high, and the wheels are held with bogie and rockers. The left and right side are linked to the chassis with differential arm, taking idea from the mars rover. A ballpoint pen spring is put between the rockers to keep them in the right position. The tracks, 46 units for each side, are snap-in.
It works, the tank can drive, the tracks are too loose, sometimes the tracks missed the sprockets but overall playable. Maybe the rockers just need to be lengthened several mm.
Which way is front, it is up to you.
For the electronics holder I used... cardboard. Since I have too many kinds of driver boards with custom sizes, cardboard is more practical. No, I don't use Arduino Uno + dc motor shield.
Post-printing:
- For several holes (those on the nut side), hand tap for M3 machine screw
- For other holes (screw head side), clean with 3 mm drill
- Screws: M3 with varying lengths from 10-30mm
