I wanted a 1 piece solid print that didn't need an elastic or any attachment around the tape body. My method ensures the roll thickness doesn't matter. From the first cut to the last this will not need to be adjusted in any way. I designed this to be as minimal and practical as possible. It stays in place on it's own while self aligning to the roll. Each tape cut refreshes the tape sticking to the body. The cut is clean, controlled, and precise. Once cut, the next piece is easy to grab with the finger slots. This is a purposefully ambidextrous design. I've made the layer height very small to ensure the blade has good strength and reasonable sharpness. I've done many test cuts and it's been great.
