I loved Landon Campbell's made-for-Gridfinity dispenser idea! But I wanted a couple tweaks for my own environment. Among other things I added a bumper so that the tape roll could not fall off and reoriented the cutting surface to cut vertically. It fits perfectly into a two by one Gridfinity slot. And there is enough room built into the unit to allow you to dispense tape without removing it from the grid. I widened the holder arm so that the whole unit would be aesthetically pleasing. For the same reason, I added a matching bumper on the support side where the tape couldn't go regardless. I also widened the cutting face so that no matter where the spool of tape was on the holding arm, the tape would still be directly across from the blade.Add tree supports just for the floating bumper end of the tape arm and you'll be good to go!
