I have seen many tape dispensers on Maker World but most seem entirely short of useful when it comes to being efficient at cutting the tape. This model utilizes a rectangular single edge razor blade to get the job done. This product on amazon is an equivalent to the razor blade I am using. The razor is designed to sit at or slightly above the height of the top of the body. This feels perfectly safe for my uses and haven't felt like I was at risk of cutting myself with the blade but of course, be cautious. This vintage styled tape dispenser requires 2 M3 screws to secure the blade cover. If you would like to forego the blade cover, you can, you will simply have a slightly more unsightly model but it will be mostly functional. The cover adds a secondary way to secure the blades orientation and keeps it down tight. A nut can be used on the inside of the main body to further secure the lower screw but is not entirely necessary. I have opted for a multi color pastel approach to my desig
