Update (9/24/2018): Adjusted design to have a 0.9mm gap (use V6 files). Fits a Stanley tape measure end very well (the tape end is ~0.95mm)
Update (2/14/2016): After adjustments to my printer I realized that the gap was much too big for a tape measure end (with a properly functioning printer, my extruder was not properly calibrated...). I uploaded new model files for a 1.15mm gap, which should work well for most tape measures.
I designed this thing to be attached to the end of a tape measure to assist in measuring shingled roofs. I work for a solar company and therefore spend a lot of time measuring roofs, and this little bugger works like a dream to keep the tape measure end from snagging on the shingles while running it up to the ridge. I imagine it will come in handy for measuring all kinds of rough surfaces where a typical tape measure end will snag on stuff. It is essentially friction fit onto the end of the tape measure.
