This model was created to keep a 150mm telescope from sliding through the mount rings when rotating the scope. It was designed to fit a Celestron Omni 150 XLT, but should fit most 150mm Newtonian Telescopes. The inner diameter of the ring is about 182mm, but should adjust down to about 176mm if needed. This retention ring should mount above the topmost ring mount with the bumps sitting flush with the mount. The bumps provide clearance for the bolt heads of the ring mounts on a Celestron Omni. It should allow the user to rotate the scope about 90 degrees without the scope sliding through the mount.
Assembly requires:
2x M5 x 20mm screws (Button Head Hex Drive)
2x M5 nuts
Print tips:
The parts are designed to be printed without supports at a 0.2mm layer height on a 0.4mm nozzle. Parts should be oriented with the bump upward. All holes are specifically designed to accommodate some sagging in bridging areas and still fit the hardware nicely. I printed the ring in PETG, but it should als
