I ran across the linked telescoping star and printed it with excitement. It looked so cool!Turned out it sucked. The thickness was so uneven that it actually fell apart. It wasn't even symmetrical. How do you design something like that? I don't know.So I redesigned it, and did a few iterations, and came up with this. This version's pretty cool! You should print it.Things of note:0.4mm nozzle or lower. If you use a 0.6mm nozzle, it'll be one layer thick and I would not place bets on its structural integrity. If you really need to use a 0.6mm nozzle, scale it up by 50% before printing to forge the MEGASTAR. Then post a picture of it 'cause that sounds totally sweet.Should work for all materials, but the more flexible the material is, the easier it'll be to just disassemble it by hand. Even PETG can be almost entirely disassembled into individual stars.Has some built-in anti-elephant-footing.There's like a dozen obvious things to do with an MMU. I don't hav
