electric hybrid engine from something like ford escape hybrid(150hp) might be great option when geared properly for heavier planes.usually good till 600k km these days (1 million miles) atleast some go till 800k km or 8000 hours for a plane the sweet spot could get you close to double the hours where the batterys+extra capacitors like it(suposedly hemp super caps are the next big thing). the 300 ah battery is an extra 200 lb probably so too much for this smaller 3 seater. a 70-80 hp boat or 250cc 80hp dirtbike motor might work ok for 2 people.paramotor powerplants are a great choice if you can find them for under $1000

50 watts per lb so 20 hp per 250 lb person.
