I saw this unusual design of test jig in South Korea many years ago and I would like to share it now. It's a test jig (clamp) which has two very nice features:
1. When fully opened the lead is completely away from the test area - it allows free and easy access to the tested object.
2. When closes the final 10mm of the movement of the test arm are strictly vertical.
So it takes the advantages of the press (where the movement is only in vertical direction but you don't have good access to the tested detail) and the rotating clamp (where the movement is rotation, you have good access to the detail but you approach the surface by rotation).

Attached is the complete design in SolidWorks 2016 (ZIP file) and the IGES for the assembly.
