Practice your paint techniques, colors, textures, etc. on the piece instead of your model. Has 1mm fins to make sure your calibrated, try your edge painting technique here first. Shouldn't be smooth, small facets should show on the oval, recess to see how your wash flows. High point & shadow. Text raised and imbedded.
