The Best Y-SplitterI downloaded several different solutions from the internet—some better, some worse. There was always something that got in the way. The biggest problem was the filament catching on the internal structure of the splitter, plus the need to retract the filament and cut it at a 45-degree angle. That’s irritating.I designed over a dozen versions. First and foremost, the splitter has to be made of two parts and must correctly guide the filament into the outgoing tube. This last part is the hardest, because tubes can vary. In the end, slitting the tube and inserting an expanding wedge made it possible to create a kind of funnel, which makes feeding the filament very easy.The project requires two screws, 10 mm long with a 3.5 mm thread diameter.Assembly instructions:Print both parts.Assemble them together.Gently screw in the screws so they don’t fall out.
