The Bucketizer

This was designed out of necessity. I had a big hornet nest under my eves on the second floor. I didn't want to just knock it down and potentially scatter angry hornets all over the place with me standing near by, so I made this.

It is designed so you can zip-tie a small bucket to it to catch whatever gets scraped off, and with an arm on the top so you can zip-tie something (paint stirrer, screwdriver, etc.) to do the actual scraping.

It has threading for a standard broom handle, which means it also works with long paint poles like the 25-footer I used to get the hornet nest on my house.

You could also probably use it to pick fruit from high up and catch it in the bucket. You'd probably want to use a small knife or something strapped to the top to cut stems.

In the end it worked perfectly for me. Caught the nest and allowed me to drop it into a trash can from a good distance. Mission accomplished.

*Note* - Be careful. Don't drop a hornet nest on your head. That would jus
