I randomly decided to bake a cake since I haven't had one in a while (it was delicious by the way 😁), but when everyone had their piece and it was time to put it away I didn't want to just cover it in plastic wrap since that messes up the icing. In the past I'd jam some toothpicks in to support the wrap but they always punched through, so I made up a little cover to prevent that. I looked it up and found that 1.8mm and 2.0mm are the most common diameters for toothpicks so I made a version for each. If you're not sure, print the larger ones. Each plate prints five, although you may need more for larger cakes. The 9x13 that I cut in half and stacked was fine with five. Each one takes just shy of 1g and 3 minutes to print (probably less if you print more; MLT kicks in on the top layers). I can already hear the “but…. why?” I had thought about just making a spike with a dome on it, but I didn't want to put printed things in to something I was going to eat. Done right t
