The Datum Stand

The Datum Stand is an ergonomic, low-cost, 3D-printed laptop stand designed to improve workspace comfort, posture, and airflow while also reducing desk clutter. Built from modular pieces that can be easily assembled or transported, it offers adjustable height options, a spacious lower shelf for a keyboard, an integrated phone stand, and a removable cup holder. Although its part size is limited by Prusa 3D-printer dimensions, the stand remains sturdy, lightweight, and optimized for daily home or office use. With an estimated $12 production cost—far cheaper than typical commercial stands—the Datum Stand meets key customer needs for ergonomics, stability, cooling, and customizable positioning in a simple and aesthetically appealing design.
