For the Teal Drone Cover Remix contest I made a flying auger cover that drops seeds as the drone flies. Seeds do best when covered with some soil but they can still thrive when tossed on top of soil. With this design you can add seeds into the hopper, replace the cover, and fly away dropping seeds as you go. Featuring a 629:1 propeller:auger gear ratio which means the auger spins nice and slowly to allow slow dispersal of seeds, and high torque so the auger won't get stuck. Easily spread wildflower seeds over an entire hilltop or spread grass seed over a large lawn. Empty weight is 163 g.
