PLEASE BE CAREFUL WHEN RUNNING THIS MODEL!!
I am designing this with the aim of using it to power a future development. all parts are created with functionality in mind. This is capable of producing a surprising amount of torque and has VERY high speed rotating parts.
This is the 12:1 reduction gearbox as promised and associated bits to fit the turbine assembly. The square drive shaft adapter fits the brass tube used as the turbine spindle.
As you can probably imagine, there is a fair amount of freeing up and running in required to get it smooth but once you do, it actually produced a surprising amount of torque!
you will need
- 6 10x5x4 bearings,
- 1 14x8x4 bearing
- 2 21x12x5 bearings
I have found that the gears don't always print perfectly but with a little orientation adjustment and wiggling they work great!
I washed the bearings in GT85 to free them up and am lubricating the gear teeth with a light silicone grease. I anticipate the turbine spinning in the
