While prepping the mask's surface before painting, I discovered a technique that will give a 3d print a more defined wood texture.
what I did was I put a heavy coat of filler primer over the smoothed sanded surface and waite until the primer thickens but not dry. Then using a disposable chipped brush, run the grain of the wood texture over the surface. Once you are happy with the look leave it to dry. once it is dry, you can sand it if you want to dull the texture down a bit.
