Okay, I know what you’re thinking. And yes, I thought the same. But trust me, it’s not that kind of pinecone. This is a stylish Christmas ornament, not something you hide in a drawer. If your mind still goes there, fine… open your slicer, trim the base, and voilà — secret kept between you and your printer. 🎅😏 For everyone else, it’s just what it looks like: a refined decorative piece with a touch of gothic flair and elegant metallic inlays — perfect to complete your festive set. Christmas is supposed to be the season of kindness… or so the cookie ads say. So, to avoid looking like a Grinch with a 3D printer, I’ve prepared pre-colored 3MF files for you. Still, I swear by acrylic paints: more artisanal, more satisfying, and — bonus — no mountains of plastic leftovers. But if you’re on Team “multicolor without a brush,” go ahead — files are ready to print. Don’t say I never spoil you. ⚙ Print settings Model height: 10 cm Printing technology: FDM Material: PLA Layer height: 0.16 mm PLA used: ~460 g Printing time: ~24 h Extra tips: 10% infill • supports for the star and leaves • light brim (and no, the shape wasn’t intentional… probably) Fuzzy skin finish: optional, 0.2 mm, for those who like a rougher touch 🖌 Painting & finishing tips Print it directly in white PLA. Then highlight only the reliefs and inlays using metallic acrylics. Base color: leave the print as-is — no need to paint the body. Details: apply gold, silver, or bronze acrylics to the raised decorations. Shading: a soft brown wash adds depth and contrast. Final coat: use matte varnish to seal everything and keep a refined look.   If this pinecone had feelings, it would’ve blushed halfway through printing 😏
