Working, simulating and testing a lot on different terrain layouts, I concluded with this terrain pool to offer an ideal balance between printability, modularity and required storage space. The terrain pieces are available as single pieces (so you can glue them on a piece of wood, and I would strongly advise to not glue the trees on the terrain piece, but just place them, so you can remove them when a unit wants to move through) or as finished terrain pieces you can just print as one and then paint it.
You need 10 pieces of wood:
4x 9"x9"
6x 9"x6"
To not upload everything twice, you can download the trees here:
https://www.printables.com/model/976017-trees-and-cacti
and the mines here:
https://www.printables.com/model/754135-mine-fields
but feel free to switch to other styles (e.g. using acid, bombs, ...).
For a more in-depth analysis and details, you can check my patreon post where I elaborated a bit the process that led me to this terrain selection: https://www.patreon
