Well, it's summer again and too hot to sleep. So I built an enclosure for two 92mm silent PC fans. They are 12V DC rated, but I power them with a 5V DC power source. This way they are really quiet and the breeze they generate is perfect for sleeping or working in the office.
Can be printed without support lying flat on the front side. Getting the cables routed through the channels/holes is a bit tricky. Connect all parts to wires and connect the wires through the hole in the bottom. Then push the rest of the wires inside. I attached a piece of 1cm thick self adhesive vibration dampening rubber foam to the underside that also closes the hole in the underside. Power connection is through barrel plugs. The female board mounted plug is from an inline female plug without the screw-on plastic cover and glued in. The fans are pressed in so it's a rather snug fit. Keep that in mind if your printer has bad tolerances.
