I designed an EDC “sewing kit” made for keychain carry. It functions as a needle case, thread spool, and stitch spacing guide. Needle and Thread Storage: The body features an internal slot that fits needles up to 50mm in length. It can hold roughly 10 needles depending on gauge. Needles are secured in the slot by wrapping thread around the exterior of the frame. Thread Locking Mechanism: The end of the thread is passed through a dedicated hole in the frame. A 3D-printed screw is tightened into this hole to pinch the thread, preventing unspooling and keeping the needles trapped within the central cavity. Stitch Spacing Guide: The notches on the long edges of the frame are spaced exactly 5mm apart. These serve as a physical measuring guide for consistent stitch placement, specifically for the blanket stitch or other 5mm interval sewing tasks.
