The Sun Voyager (Sólfar)

This project is dedicated to all my friends and ex colleagues from Iceland, also to those ones who fell in love with this beautiful place on earth.
It was a bit tricky to desing the whole thing without having an access to the original sculpture. So, I have utilized all photos and videos I could get access to, in order to perform indirect calculations of dimentions and to draw curves.
I have not tried to print it's parts, therefore there are no allowances in joints implemented by design. I still have to find the way to flatten those curved elements to make it printable.
