So I'm fairly particular about how my amiibo are arranged on my shelf, which made me seek out a stand of some kind that I could print and line up more easily than each figure individually. jerome15's amiibo stand (thingiverse.com/thing:2611884) is a solid start; the hexagon shapes would let it slot together well and give each amiibo a nice viewing angle, but it was too big for my other, more reliable and faster printers, so I had to put it out on my older 3DStuffmaker Evolution. I decided that I wanted something modular, with individual cells, so I could shape my display stand to my heart's content.
Thus, I looked at amarand's stand system (thingiverse.com/thing:2629107). Using single cells with different heights, it's easy to put together, but I don't like the square shape of the cells. It's just a tad sub-optimal, having one amiibo directly in front of another, and definitely wouldn't work on my shelf (it's higher up than you in most places). So, I needed to make my own.
