I have mount Ronson Type (Varaflame) Quality Filler Inlet Valve.

Press the ball into the bottom, use 3.5-4mm mm drill and thread the Ronson M4.5 valve and insert some glue into the threads.
You can fill up when the tube remains in the thermacell. (obviously turned off ;-)
Wear safety goggles when filling!
The protective hats are good to use then.
