This 3D model is my original interpretation of Thing, the stitched hand made famous by the Wednesday Addams series. I sculpted it entirely in Nomad Sculpt on iPad, spending about three hours from the first digital clay block to the final detailed form. My goal was to capture that eerie yet charming presence the character has — something that feels alive even in stillness. I started by rough-blocking the main hand structure, paying close attention to anatomical accuracy and gesture. From there, I gradually built up the organic details: the subtle muscle tension, skin folds, and especially the stitching that gives it that Frankenstein-like personality. I wanted the seams to feel functional, not decorative — as if they’re truly holding the hand together after being reanimated. Once the overall silhouette felt balanced, I refined surface textures to reflect a slightly worn, lifelike look.
