I was getting annoyed with my ThinkGeek Minecraft diamond ore's batteries constantly leaking and activation being manual, so I made this replacement base for it, so you no longer have any leaking AA issues and can use it with a timer to automatically turn it on. Uses the MH001 maker's supply LED light or something compatible. You can remove the diffuser from it (just unscrew the metal ring) since the original ThinkGeek ore has one built-in. To install, remove the original base (screws are under the pads), put the USB LED in the center of the new base with some adhesive, pass the cable in the hole for it, then use the original screws to screw in this new base. Install some new pads on the bottom that are taller so as to not crush the cable, and you're ready to go! Personally I printed in PETG cause that's what I had that was grey but PLA probably works fine.
