Threads... They've been around forever, but now they can be printed! This is just me messing around wondering how small was feasible for 3D printing, but curious to know how small everyone else can print...
One think I found cool about them, the layer lines make the cap seam invisible! Maybe a secret storage compartment for something? Comment if you print any of these and let me know what use you found for them!
NGL, some of these took some wiggling back and forth a little to get them turning perfectly. I snapped one of the smaller ones initially because I was being a little aggressive trying to get it to sand against itself.
I printed all of mine with PLA and standard layer height of 0.2mm on a Creality Ender 3. I found that the silk PLA's were a little resistant to self-sanding, makes sense I guess. Regular PLA, once I spun it forward 1/4 turn and backed it off it felt like any boogers were free to blow out before beginning the next 1/4 to 1/2 turn advancement.
