Thrift Store Angel -- Digitized!

Here's our fifth scan with the MakerBot Digitizer. We're building the Digitizer to be an affordable, simple 3D scanning tool that fits on your desktop and works perfectly with our MakerBot Desktop 3D Printers.

Note! The downloadable file here is actually much more accurate than the photo indicates. We re-scanned this object with two lasers and got a great result.

We found this candlestick angel at a local Thrift Store shows the progress we've made so far. Just check out the depth resolution on our angelic 3D model. The scan accurately captures the feathery details of the Angel’s wing, thanks to the MakerBot Digitizer Desktop 3D Scanner’s depth resolution specifications.
