Description:
This is the "Through the hoop" brain teaser! I played it in a shop and decided to design it instead of buying it. The ultimate goal is to get the string and ball off of the base and hoops completely (it's possible!). I used an actual 1/4" wood dowel (5.25", 4.25", 3.25", 2.25", 1.25") for the poles but went ahead and designed 1/4" poles for those who don't have access to wooden dowels. You will also need approximately 12" of string (I used yarn but any thin string will work).
Printing:
You will need to print 1 base, 5 poles (if not using wooden dowels), 2 different size balls, and 4 hoops
Infill: 40% for the base, both balls, and hoops
Infill: 80-100% for poles
Nozzle temp: 220 C
Bed temp: 60 C
Print speed: 50 mm/s
Initial layer speed: 20 mm/s
Number of slow layers: 2
Support: Only for the two balls and poles
Let me know if you are able to beat it!
