Thumb Screw

I had a need to convert a small bolt or nut into a thumb screw. My solution was to make a little cap that slips over the head of a bolt or a nut that gives a round knurled edge to be able to finger tighten the bolt or nut.

The cap just slips over the nut or bolt head giving a knurled knob to finger tighten a thread.

The sample STL file is for a 1/4-20 nut or bolt.
Bolt thread OD of 6.5mm
Nut/bolt head measures 11.1mm flat to flat
At the base of the cap is a 2mm which boss

Also included is the scad file to customise the cap to any size
