Thunderfury for Dummy 13

UPDATE 27/08/2024 - Check my other models for another two World of Warcraft themed Dummy 13 weapons - Twinblade of the Hakkari and Bloodlord’s Protector! Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker for Dummy 13! Lets celebrate new World of Warcraft expansion! I decided to make some WoW-themed weapon for my Dummy 13. And what is more iconic than legendary Thunderfury… for rogue or any tank – nothing beats it! So here you go – Thunderfury designed especially for Dummy 13. Grip shape slightly changed to fit in his hand but except that – still ridiculously oversized one hand weapon with all the details of original one! How to print this model. This model was designed with 0.4mm nozzle in mind, don’t try any bigger. Layer height matter. Due to complicated shape of the blade the lower the better. I printed mine with 0.12mm layer height and it came out really nice. 0.20mm is too high, I don’t recommend it. So my recommendation is to go with 3 walls and 0.12mm layer height or lower to help with overhangs. Model require supports. Pommel is printed as a separate object. After sliding sword trough Dummy 13 hand add it at the end of the grip. And don’t do mistake as me on most of this posed pictures… Swords teeths going UP and pommel teeth going DOWN :) This model will look even better printed on Resin Printer!
