TIE GT

TIE/GT starfighter or TIE Ground Targeting is a bomber version of TIE Fighter and a predecessor of TIE Bomber. It's a ground support bomber during the early era of the Empire. It has only 1 laser cannon and a small multi-purpose armament bay which is the prototype of TIE Bomber pods

TIE/GT fighters are not a nimble ship. They require TIE/fc to pinpoint small targets for them.

Following the introduction of TIE Bombers. TIE/GTs were transferred to Imperial Army. Due to the poor performance and cheap material, TIE/GTs were used for a short while before were fully replaced by other bombers.
