I wanted a way to photograph these tiny drones a little more professionally - using a DSLR and lighting equipment like soft lights. I eventually want to also use this stand for B-roll for my future whoop-related videos.
I settled with using a 2.5mm Carbon Fiber tube that I had lying around and I made a simple PLA ball joint that would attach to a "dummy Lipo" that could fit the drone's battery tray. The spherical slot on the dummy battery is the same size as the ball joint to make it a snug fit and thus, the dummy battery tray should be printed in TPU to allow it to flex a bit while also maintaining friction around the ball joint.
On the other end, I thought it would be cool to have some way to power the drone for extended periods while taking photos or recording video. I wanted to have its own dedicated battery so I didn't have to worry about my flight packs being damaged accidentally while shooting. I used a 14500 750 mAh Li-ion battery (something I had randomly) paired with a
