Toilet Top Shelf

This was the result of a request to create something that would allow us to place a basket on top of the toilet while still allowing the toilet flush button (which is also on the top) to be used without having to move the basket. The shelf has prongs at the front and back to prevent it from sliding off the top of the toilet, and the curved shape of the toilet makes it difficult for the shelf to easily shift from side to side. It prints in 4 pieces on two build plates, and then gets glued together with super glue afterwards. The shelf can hold a basket up to 35 cm wide (350 mm) and 14.5 cm deep (145 mm). The bottom of the shelf sits 7.2 cm (72 mm) above the top of the toilet lid, offering just enough room for access to the flush button. Our toilet lid is 13 cm deep (130 mm) at its deepest point in the centre, so the distance between the retention prongs is 12.6 cm (126.5 mm) front to back.
