A tool grip - with a triangular shape - for holding drill bits, broaches, countersinks, files, workpieces and so on. A set with two pieces, which clamps cylindrical shafts with a diameter from 1,8 to 2,5 mm and from 3,2 mm to 3,5 mm. The grip is made of plastic (injection moulded), could be manufactured by machining (CNC) or can be alternative 3D-printed. Both metal parts can be made of brass or alternative metallic materials. In a simplified version the grip can be manufactured of wooden material too. An improvement for inserting and fastening of the collet in the grip - for a better safety against a radial movement - is surely possible. Thinkable is an additional hexagon profil on the collet and in the grip. Make your own design! A two-part version for reducing the wall thickness of the grip is - may be - the best solution. Think about the position for the parting of the two seperate parts. To find it out is not really difficult! Note: Threads are really modelled (M8 x 1,0) with theoretical values and therefore without clearance. The complete assembly/assemblies of the model(s) is/are available in the STEP-format (.stp) and as native files (.prt) and (.asm) in a "zipped" folder for users of »PTC Creo Parametric 2.0«
