Tool Post Grinder, Dremel

Made these so I could grind retaining ring grooves & a keyway in a hardened shaft.
One mounts the Dremel flex tool in a horizontal position & the other vertical. They fit a 1/2" tool holder.

Print in PLA. Originally I was thinking ABS but could never get Dremel axis square in all directions to tool post mtg surface. Gave up, tried PLA & it came out perfect first time.

The horizontal can be printed standing on end. Definitly print the vertical one on it's side with triangle recess down. This is the way it was originally designed to be printed when thinking ABS & had no reason to change for PLA.

I also increased wall thk to at least 1.2 for strength. Fill was about 20-25%.

There are provisions for tie wraps if you want to use them. Doesn't hurt, might help.

7/1/24 Changed to QCTP & noticed the vertical version probably won't fit it. Guess I'll have to hang on to the old toolpost.
