Toolpost Grinder Wheel Guard

This is a two-piece wheel guard for a lathe toolpost grinder I'm building.

The purpose of the wheel guard is to absorb the energy of a wheel failure, protecting the machine operator.

Many common 3D printing materials and processes are not strong enough for this application.

Assembly

The cover is attached to the guard with five (5) 8-32 button-head screws. The 8-32 threads are modeled directly into the STL files, but may require cleaning up with a tap, depending on your fabrication method.
